Who We Are

E.V.E. is an emerging nonprofit rooted in the belief that visibility can transform how communities understand and support LGBTQIA+ people. We focus on simple, human moments that open doors to belonging, connection, and courage.

Mission

To build a more visible, inclusive, and joyful North Carolina by creating spaces for LGBTQIA+ people and allies to connect, listen, learn, and lead.

Why Visibility Matters

Across many towns and counties, LGBTQIA+ people still face barriers to safety, belonging, and opportunity. Visibility is often the first step toward change. When people can see one another fully, it shapes conversations, strengthens communities, and builds courage.

Our Approach

About the Founder

E.V.E. was created by Stephen Aber, a North Carolina native with a background in community building, storytelling, and the arts. His hope is to help communities grow into places where LGBTQIA+ people are seen, celebrated, and supported.
